Heylo  I’ve been procrastinating on working on my blog because as usualll I know I have hundred things to post but I did not know where to start. So this is where I will begin, first of all what you should know about me.

I am going to make this in point form just to make it easier for you.

1. I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY :But this was not the plan I was training to be a psychologist but then life has other plans and I quit John Hopkins for this and I won’t know untill 5 years from now whether that was the right thing to do but there are some things you have to do for LOVE. Ps: No I don’t read minds.. No I am not scrutinizing your every move when I am staring blankly at you.. No I am not messing with your head. No you cannot mess with my head either. YES I will make you feel comfortable and I am easy to talk to and I do what I do for the same reason I wanted to do psychology I like human emotions and I like making a difference to people’s lives. But yes I do like analysing so join me at times if you want to analyse photos, people, art but the thing about analysis is that there is a difference between being critical and criticizing based on your own prejudices. Good analysis comes from studying deeper and looking at it from all angles there is never one side to a story.

2. FOOD-FOTOS-FASHION: That’s what inspires me. I am an insane Foodie and I take food very seriously I am inspired by it, it makes me happy, it’s what I talk about with a lot of passsiooonnn sooo if you like fooood with the same vigorrr we can be friends;) just kidding but keep a look out, reviews, some gorgeous deserts that make my day with some

cheating photography–Iphonegraphy. . Apart from that photos ofcourse you will see a lot of that on this blog, from my weddings, my beautiful mommies and cute children. But again creative photography is a product of many influences and my influences are movies, magazines,books, art, theatre, music, dexter, broadway,photojournalists, fashion phtographers I keep my eyes open to ANYTHING VISUAL (hence visual hog, my eyes are really bigger than my stomach) so you will see posts of some of my influences. INSPIRATION is not ours to keep it needs to be shared, something someone very wise told me so I am going to share. Fashion, well, I knew NOTHING about fashion and I have been trained and taught by two people my friend & very talented designer AMRITA THAKUR and my mentor and renowned fashion photographer R.BURMAN.He introduced me to lighting, the art of composition, editing, and the glamourrrr of photography something I did not know at all.  And I learnt its a beautifullllll world of its own, and India has such amaaaazinnnggg talent whether its photographers, designers, stylists, editors and make up artists. So I really want to put up work of Indian fashion photographers whose work I love because I really feel there isn’t enough information on the net about them, their styles, maybe their influences or history, hopefully some behind the scene access photos about the whole process of those gorgeous photos and some technical information.

3. ALL about WORDS: I like words, I used to write then I stopped because I realised I wrote tooo dark and deep and intense and I scared myself and now I like life a little light and I like being happy and making people happy so well this blog will be a new start. But I still like quotes, I cry reading certain books, I take notes even when am watching Dexter or Grey’s anatomy. I’ve seen FIGHT CLUB a billion times and I actually used it in my thesis paper as a therapy there is a quote which says ” THIS IS YOUR LIFE AND IT’S ENDING ONE MINUTE AT A TIME”  is something I keep very close to my head.
So ya, be ready for words and quotes and dialoguesss with my photos, some sapppppy some dramatic some just funny, some rhetorical, some senti, some sarci. I try not being prejudiced to any genre so you’ll see something of everything.

4. DOGS, DOGS DOGS:I am a dog person. Now not that I dont like cats. I love animals but I am a dog person. Which means apart from the fact that I love my dog tango and that my best friends all have dogs and one even has a dog parlor! (Oh!my DOg!) let me explain what that means, a part of me has the soul of a dog.  I am veryyyy loyal, simple but not stupid!, honest and cannot be fake,  instinctual if  like you I will immediately

make an effort (if I had a tail I would wag it), I am very curious as a person so I go sniffing around for anything remotely interesting and then I obsessively research about it whether its  a wall grafiti, a chocolate wrapper which looks funky, old black and white photo, caring and warm atleast people I am close to and last but not the least I will bite if anyone intentionally tries being hurtful to me or anyone close to me. Also  starting March 2012 a cut of every shoot of mine goes to PALS (plants and animal lovers society)  to sponsor a surgery for stray dogs so keep in mind if you shoot with us you are being a part of being socially responible 🙂

5. OLD is GOLD: I am all about classics. Even my photographic style, I would like to be funkyyyy and use exaggerated anglesss and make people jump and do crazy things but I’ve come to realise I like the classy beautiful simple photos. BLack and whites Woooff with just one window light capturing the mood of the person.. thats me. So yes I love classics, anything that has character and history and anything old world, audrey hepburn, madhubala, sabyasachi sarees, anamikas classic traditional work, Calcutta, Rome, royalty in Jaipur or Udaipur, anything white, elizabeth taylor, Gayatri Devi, jadau jewellery, Led zepplin, hendrix .. there are some things that age but remain as beautiful thats how what I hope for everyday when I take a photo.

So thats about it. Welcome to my Blog, it is going to be an adventurous visual journey! Hope you become a hog like meeeee…I hope I cann take your mind & soul places and I hope you take me places .. and I hope I can inspire you like I have been inspired by life, love and beauty. :))))))))))
